Celestial Navigation & Star Lore

Get hands-on in this workshop that will teach you to read the natural map in the night sky - the stars. Hear star stories told around the globe from Greek, Roman, Native American, and other cultures. Make your own artifacts related to star lore and navigation including an Ottomani Sun Compass, then learn to navigate the night sky using the Sun, Moon, and stars. This is an overnight workshop. Participants can camp on the Nature Trail adjacent to the museum.$75 Members / $85 General Public
Recommended for ages 16 years & up.
Meals will not be provided, but a refrigerator is available to store food and there are a number of restaurants close by.
